He doesn’t care what your swing looks like, but rather what kind of results you are getting. Andrew has amassed quite a body of work on his website and his YouTube channel. His information is well researched, but more importantly he gives golfers functional drills and simple explanations of complicated topics.
It’s wonderfully helpful to review each lesson online, to view the recommended drills and to read the notes provided by my Coach, Erin. Since joining GOLFTEC, my handicap index has dropped from 18 to 7; I’m enjoying golf more; and now that I’m retired, I can play several times a week.
Unfortunately, many new golfers give up in frustration after a just few practice sessions or a couple of casual rounds. Those who make it through the initial stages, however, soon find that improvement comes in leaps and bounds. Next thing you know, they’re hooked for life.
The repetition of the drill also helps with those short putts that are infuriating when missed. Sinking four balls in a row from different particular distances will get you comfortable with those distances,  and will increase your confidence when facing those putts on the course. When using this drill, remember to start from a distance where you frequently miss putts on the course. Beginners will want to start closer in, while better putters should start further back.  Begin the drill from a distance where you are less comfortable and keep practicing until you are able to make all four putts.

6 months ago i stayed in vilamoura with my family for a few days, to enjoy the sun and visit properties with the aim to buy the holiday house i have always dreamed about. I stayed at four seasons hotel and had also planned to play golf. Clare Lester, in charge of the golf section at the hotel, arranged 2 rounds of golf for me: played the old course and the ocean at vale de lobo. Great service from Clare, all went very well and i enjoyed those two great courses. But this is nothing compared to the next thing she organised for me: a lesson with her husband Peter Lester at the pinhal driving range. I have had many lessons in my golfing live (started golf 9 years ago at the age of 38 when i moved to UK). I never had a lesson like that: after 5 swings, Peter knew exactly what i needed to change. Easy to understand instructions helped me so much to improve my swing. Amazing. I went back 2 weeks ago for more house hunting, and the first thing i did before calling any local estate agent was to book a lesson with Peter. He sorted my “long game” before, this time idea was to help my short game. Again, easy to understand what he wanted me to do, but so so different: i really struggled for 5-10 minutes, but as always, Peter told me: you will get there before the end of the lesson and it was right! 30 minutes later, every 20 to 40 yds shot i played was: one, two bounce and backspin to the hole. Like a pro!! Unbelievable given my hcp is 13 and i had lost my confidence so much on my short game recently…. You might think I am speaking nonsense, I promise this is true. Peter is such a nice guy, he loves giving lessons, and he is so so good. If you like golf, don’t go anywhere else than Vilamoura and get a lesson (or more if you can) with Peter. Contact his lovely wife at four seasons, she will sort everything out!
Know Your Price Limit: Generally, the more expensive instructors are those who have more experience, more accolades and who are attached to a more upscale golf facility. (If the green fees are expensive, then that club’s golf instructors probably will be, too.) But there are lots of teaching pros out there who are less expensive but still very good (or even better). Decide how much you are willing to spend before you start shopping, and stick to it.

Often, beginners can borrow clubs from the pro or use demonstration clubs for lessons. When it is time to buy clubs, the pro can make recommendations about the types of clubs to buy and the features to look for. For example, beginners with a slow swing speed can benefit from a flexible shaft, large clubface and higher lofted clubs. The pro might recommend that new players use a 3-wood off the tee instead of a driver, and use higher lofted fairway woods. Pros often suggest using hybrid clubs instead of long irons such as the 3-iron and 4-iron because they are designed to launch the ball easily and allow for distance and accuracy.
This question was first raised in our recent “Yo, GolfWRX?” episode, leading to a number of responses on Facebook — some better than others. So, for this week’s Two Guys Talkin’ Golf episode, equipment expert Brian Knudson and Editor Andrew Tursky discuss their top-3 sneaker picks to turn into golf shoes. Also, they discuss Tiger Woods’ reported club head speed of 128.4 mph, and whether that’s even possible.
I particularly like the Strata set as the drivers are very good. Callaway are known for their drivers and with the Strata set they don’t disappoint. The Driver, 3W and 5W are all made from titanium and have huge sweet spots – it is seriously difficult to mishit them.
Another trick to free your mind is to picture the ball going in on the high side of the hole on a breaking putt. Most golfers miss low. For this left-to-right putt (below), I want the ball to enter the cup well left of center.
Golf is an individual sport and I treat each session and client as such. I coach as if I am having a conversation with the player to figure out what is and isn’t working for them, what parts of their game need the most improvement and what strategies, feel and tools, would work best for them. The name of the game is getting the ball in the hole in the fewest number of shots and whatever most help players accomplish that will be the focus of every session. I have experience designing and executing golf specific strength and conditioning program. I work with clients to build phys
Individual lessons usually range from 30 minutes to an hour, with prices varying widely based on the teacher’s qualifications and the golf facility at which he or she works. A typical price range might be from $25 per session to more than $100 per session. Discounts are frequently available for people who sign up for a package of lessons (say, a series of six). (Read how one top instructor structures his golf lessons to get an idea of what’s involved.)

Hold up the putter up between finger and thumb and tap the face with the edge of a coin to find the sweet spot – the clubhead will pendulum rather than twist. Mark that spot on the top of the clubhead so you can see it at address. Struck opposite that point the ball will generate overspin and roll.

One of the benefits of taking golf lessons is having access to someone that can mentor you. Whether you stay in touch with your instructor or not, they can give you valuable contacts and resources. You may want to ask them about good courses and the best times of day to start playing. Your instructor’s vast knowledge can help you during your golf lessons and in your future games.
Wedges are really important clubs in your bag as they are used to get the ball near the pin when you are not far away from the green (i.e. from about 100 yards in). There are many different types of wedges ranging from high 40 degree pitching wedges (PW) to sand wedges (SW) and even 60 degree lob wedges. The high loft in wedges allow one to get under the ball and launch it really high. This makes it easier to stop the ball near the pin and backspin the ball.
I am a very patient coach and I always keep it simple for my students. I try to give you the least amount of information and thoughts as possible, but that information I give you will make the biggest difference in improving your game. Too many thoughts about a motion will interfere with the effectiveness of your swing. I will always follow up with emailed notes after each lesson. This message may include video, images, or just text. This has been proven to be more effective in retaining information after you leave the lesson tee. Throwing the disc overhand while supporting with thumb underneath the middle of the flight plate and fingers along the rim, almost like throwing a football or darts. Increases power and allows line shaping, also useful for putting over obstacles. Usually doesn’t feel natural at first and can be inconsistent because of the extra arm movement.
Beginner Golf Basics – Part 1 is the first in a series of four videos, also by Piers Ward and Andy Proudman, and starts right at the beginning by defining the various parts of a golf club – the grip, the shaft, the club head, the face, and the leading edge.
In terms of golf shafts there are three main considerations: length, flex and material (i.e. graphite vs. steel). In terms of length, standard men’s clubs are generally suitable for males with a height between 5-foot-8-inches and 6-foot-2-inches. If you fall into this range then standard shaft lengths will be just fine. If you are slightly shorter or taller you can probably also get away with standard length clubs, but if you are significantly shorter or taller then you may want to consider custom fitting. Of course, as a beginner you can probably start with standard fitting clubs and then get custom fitted as you get better. The second consideration is staff flex. Flex can range from very “flexy” to stiff. Most clubs are fitted with standard or regular flex shafts, but if you have a very fast swing then you will want to opt for stiff flex. On the other hand if your swing speed is slow then a flexy shaft is better. In general seniors and ladies who can’t generate a fast swing speed should opt for a flexy shit, otherwise I recommend you go with a regular flex to start out. Finally, shafts come in two main material – stainless steel and graphite. Graphite shafts are lighter, which means one can generate more club head speed. Ideally you should go for woods with graphite shafts as with these clubs you are mainly interested in getting as much distance as possible. In terms of irons it is best to stick with steel shafts, although graphite shafts as a beginner isn’t a bad move.
We are asked this question every day, and the answer really depends on your individual goals. Typically we recommend taking at least six golf lessons to be able to work through a game plan with your coach to start to reach your golf lesson goals, but it depends on the student. Our coaches are excellent at putting together a lesson plan that matches your specific needs. However, our golf lesson packages follow a basic outline that will give you a little bit more clarity on what to expect in general.
Playing golf is a great way to spend time outdoors while enjoying some gentle exercise. Golf instruction can get you started or help you improve your game. Once you know the basics, you can enjoy the time you spend out on the course without getting frustrated. If you plan to compete in amateur, club or professional competitions, golf lessons will be essential to your training plan.

After this, he suggests that you should always warm up before playing golf, even if it is only on the practice range. Although golf is not as physical an activity as some sports, you use a considerable number of muscles so a regular warm up routine is essential. Five or ten minutes of stretching can help to avoid pulled muscles, or even more serious injuries.

Like the Callaway set, the ProStaff irons range from a 6-SW with a hybrid and woods making up for the missing lower irons. I was very impressed with the irons. They have a deep center of gravity, which makes it a lot easier to get the ball of the ground and reduces spin on the ball. This is important as high spin rates mean lots of inconsistency.

3. Next move your focus (along the shaft of the putter) to about six inches in front of the ball and find a spot. This could be a discolored piece of grass, a spike mark or whatever you can pick out. If you the roll the ball over that spot, you will be hitting the ball on the line to take it over apex and if the speed is right, you’ll hit a perfect putt every time.
The Callaway Men’s Strata Complete Golf Set is the ultimate beginners set! It comes in a number of variations, but the two most popular are the 18-piece (12 clubs, 5 head covers and a stand bag) and the 12-piece (9 clubs, 2 head covers and a bag). In terms of clubs, the iron set is very good and easy to hit. The set starts at a 6 iron and goes through to a PW and SW. Callway have left out the lower irons (3-5) as these are generally a lot more difficult to hit as a beginner. In there place Callaway have added two hybrids (a combination of a wood and iron), which are really easy to hit and a great addition to the set.

2) Stroke Length: Place a piece of tape on a yardstick at the 18-inch mark (center). Then, place tape every four inches from this center mark. Address the center mark and make strokes to the first piece of tape on the backstroke and the corresponding piece of tape on the forwardstroke. Incorporate this length with the good rhythm from the metronome drill (see #5). Next, place a ball adjacent to the center mark and make your four-inch backstroke and four-inch throughstroke with good rhythm. Hit several putts, then average the distance they travel. Repeat at different length strokes and soon you’ll have a good understanding of how long a stroke is required in any situation.

Golf can be an endlessly complicated game, and I firmly believe that no singular individual has the right answers for everyone. So if you are searching around for swings tips and other pieces of info for your golf game, these instructors are a good start!
Nowadays it is very common for golfers to use hybrids to replace their lower irons (3-5 irons). Usually hybrids are numbered #3 to #5. The hybrids are easier to hit when compared to the long irons as they have a much wider sole. This means that one can get under the ball more easily with a hybrid. Hybrids combine the elements of woods and irons, making the club convenient for you to hit cleanly.

You’ll simply pick up the game much more quickly. Golf is not easy to master, and if you want to get good at it, you’ll show improvement much more quickly if you are taught the correct way to play from the get-go.
Finish your hour by making as many short putts as you can in a row. My personal best is 56, but set yourself a goal of, say, 10 or 15. Make them short, two or three feet. Place them on different angles to the hole and treat each putt as if it was for a big tournament win. Use your imagination and envision yourself sinking a three-footer to beat Tiger in a sudden-death playoff. Dream a little and build a better mental outlook on your putting.
Another thing that an intermediary target does is make you less likely to come out of your posture prematurely and look at the ball’s final target (the hole), which causes miss-hit putts. Staying over the ball until the ball has been hit over your spot will improve your ball striking leading to more consistent putts.

1) Setup And Alignment: With the logo on your golf ball aligned at the proper aiming point, it should be easy to set the putterface to this line. Often, it’s helpful to have a putter with lines or marks to help visualize the alignment. Make sure your arms are hanging freely, that your eyes are over or slightly inside the ball/target line and, most importantly, that your shoulders are square to the target. I use a small mirror to check my alignment and eye position.
There’s no question that missing putts is the easiest way to put a bloated number on the scorecard. A great drive and a fantastic approach shot can be nullified by a couple of missed putts, and the next thing you know, you are putting a bogey or worse instead of a birdie or par. Sure, it’s frustrating, but like anything, to get better you have to practice.
I’m a great believer that if you practice with purpose, you need a lot less of it. I see so many golfers on a day-to-day basis who just pound ball-after-ball-after-ball in the hope that pure repetition will lead to success. In my experience, it doesn’t.
3) Body Stability: During the putting motion, it’s imperative that the body remain very still. Any motion will cause your putter path to be inconsistent, which makes solid contact almost impossible. My favorite thought is to imagine a small coin under the ball at address. After my stroke, I don’t look up until I can identify the denomination—usually, this takes a count of one. Keeping your eyes focused on the impact area will greatly limit any tendency to move the body.
Every GOLFTEC Game Plan includes video-based practice, providing you with the most productive practice sessions possible through immediate visual feedback. The most common advice we hear is to find something that feels comfortable and putt with it. That advice works at first, but you should begin to determine what features you like and dislike about a putter and try something that may cover those weaknesses. For instance, you may find that the Discmania P2 has too deep of a rim for your liking, so you can search for something a little shallower like the Westside Shield. Or perhaps you like the Gateway Wizard but want something with less glide, so we’d direct you to the Kastaplast Reko. Remember, we’re here to help. We’ll be working to review putters and provide a database for your selection criteria.

Beginning players can start lesson in several ways, but most do so in either a group or individual setting, covering the five primary skills of golf as noted above golf swing. Golf is an asymmetrical exercise that can break body balances, requiring also adequate exercises to keep the balance in muscles.[1] Experienced recreational players often return for instruction, either to fix a specific problem they are encountering or to improve their game. Reconstruction of a golf swing to reach a high level of play often involves series of lessons over an extended period of time. Junior golfers often begin receiving instruction by age 10 or younger, and often retain private teachers even when coached on a high school golf team.

What I’m learning now, in addition to swinging a club correctly, is to hold myself more accountable for my golf game.  Taking online golf lessons is akin to walking a tightrope without a safety net.  There’s nobody around to observe your every swing and make corrections.  In truth, this is more indicative of how golf is actually played – on your own, with nothing but the space between your ears to guide you.  In an interview with pgatour.com, Sean Foley was asked if he envisioned a time when Tiger Woods wouldn’t need a coach.
Hi, my name is Kris Ruiter and I am a personal golf coach.  Golf has been a part of my life for over 30 years, with 15 years of those dedicated to teaching. I have enjoyed teaching golf in both Canada and the U.S.A. I have worked with the aspiring playing professional to the new player who has never touched a club in their life.  I love the challenge and the fun of working with players of all levels. One of my favorite teaching days of all time was back to back lessons with a 12 year old girl then an 82 year old man.  Neither of them had ever touched a club before. It was such a fun day…as was the day when one of my competitive players made a career best 9 birdies in a competitive round.
I am the Head Professional at The Springhaven Club with 14 years of teaching experience. I am a certified PGA golf professional, certified in golf operations, video technology, lauch monitor technology (FlightScope), club fitting (Mizuno & Titleist) and US kids certified coach and 2013 Assistant Golf Professional of the Year (Philadelphia PGA).  When playing at The Springhaven Club it is important to remember that length is not the key. Accuracy and course management rule the day for a golfer to play their best round. With 80+ bunkers, five holes with water hazards
Are you thinking about taking up golf? Keen to get out on the golf course and start whacking that little white ball? Don’t rush out onto the golf course just yet, you need to consider getting some beginner golf lessons before you get started. Golf unlike a lot of other sports is difficult to master even for the most talented athlete. Whilst your enthusiasm and courage will go a long way to becoming a better golfer, it will only take you so far.
One of the first things that you need to master is your swing. We found a great video by Andy Proudman and Piers Ward which has had nearly four million views. It’s called Golf Swing Made Simple and runs for less than seven minutes.
Andrew Rice has become one of the most popular faces in the online golf instruction world for good reason. He’s one of the best communicators I’ve ever seen. You’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who conducts a better video presentation than Andrew, and it’s why his following has become so large.

Place a tee in the ground in a line 10 feet, 20 feet, 30 feet and 40 feet away. In this drill, you are attempting to control the distance you hit each putt. The ladder drill begins by hitting a putt to the first tee, which is 10 feet away. Next, hit a 20-footer, than 30-footer followed by a 40-foot putt. The idea is to get the ball to stop as close to each tee as possible. The next step is to theoretically close the ladder. From the first tee, hit a 30-foot putt, followed by 20-foot putt followed by a 10-foot putt to the final tee.  At the conclusion, you have successfully opened and closed the ladder. The drill continues by going through the same sequence from the opposite direction. If the first putts were all uphill, you are now faced with a series of difficult downhill putts. Once you can successfully navigate this drill, your feel on the greens should improve.

The instructors at The Golf Learning Center will work with your unique game so you can improve your full swing, short game, golf functional fitness, course, and emotional performance, as well as club fitting. Each of these areas are the building blocks of a great golf game, but the mortar is how you practice after you leave The Golf Learning Center. Our instructors will send follow-up material and provide guidance on how to most effectively practice the game.
Many amateurs push or pull the putt off line. This is caused from an in-to-out or out-to-in swing path. The following drill will help develop a consistent path. Find a flat area on the green and place two clubs on the ground wide enough to place the putter head behind the ball. Swing the putter between the two clubs and hit the ball.  If the putter hits any of the clubs you are not swinging the putter down the target line. Make sure the putter head stays low to the ground and follows through.
Ryan also oversees our player development programs designed for women golfers of all skill levels. This includes our popular “Mulligans and Martinis” clinic as well as clinics during the weekend and playing clinics, offered Friday afternoons.

In addition to helping grow the game of golf through teaching, Doug is also a Callaway Master Club-fitter, and oversees the Callaway Performance Center at Troon North. It is important to have equipment that fits your game—if you are playing equipment that is not correct for you, you may be able to improve your scores by improving the clubs you play.  Club-fitting is an important part of the improvement process and Doug can help you with any equipment questions you may have or can make recommendations for the best clubs to fit your style of play.

Begin by placing three balls in a line at three, six, and nine feet from the hole similar to the twelve, three, six and nine position on a clock.  The goal is to make all twelve in a row. If you miss any putt, then go back to the beginning and start over.
As you gain golf experience you will reach a point where you will want your swing to produce specific shot shapes that are required in certain situations. Indeed, you might be tempted to explore hitting shots that curve around, or under an obstacle. In this section, you will learn to master: how to draw the ball, how to fade the ball, how to increase driver distance and finally how to hit low golf shots.
The Practice Facility at Sanctuary Lake boasts 70 hitting stations, 5 target greens, and both natural and artificial hitting surfaces. In addition to the range, the practice facility also features a short game area, to allow patrons a separate area to work on both putting and chipping.
Most irons have relatively narrow soles, which are more difficult to hit than wider sole clubs that have more contact with the ground at impact. The best way to identify if irons have a wider sole is to look at the club cavity. A deep cavity will suggest a wider sole. It will also mean that the weight is distributed to the perimeter of the club head, which will give you a wider sweet spot.
These are the disc golf putting tips that we consider to be essential for accurate disc golf putting. As you can see, we believe that putting tips begin far before your actual putt to the basket does. Of course, this putting advice is not all inclusive, and there are many other tips and suggestions. Here is a short list of disc golf putting FAQs and some resources that may help.
These series of video tips go over the remaining areas of the golf game not yet examined. The tips on course management explore how to make better decision around the golf course, prior to addressing the ball. The practice tips examine how you can improve faster through better use of your time spent on the driving range. Mental game tips cover the importance of focusing in golf, and in putting yourself in a situation to succeed. Finally, golf equipment tips cover what clubs to put in your golf bag and how the custom golf fitting process works.
Harold says that there are four fundamentals to good putting. To begin with the blade has to be square to the target at both the address and strike positions. The second fundamental is the importance of keeping the blade of the putter square through the path of the hitting area.
Learning how to play golf the correct way is key for all beginner golfers to build a solid foundation. Once a beginner golfer develops bad habits, it’s much harder to cure and try to unlearn them than it is to get it right from the start.

Fees average $50 to $60 for a 30- to 45-minute private lesson. Instructors sometimes offer hour-long sessions for $75 to $90, which is a better overall value. There is usually no cost break for children’s lessons.
TNT’s Craig Sager wanted to dramatically improve his game so he went to the PGA Golf School in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Part of his learning was the importance of fitness and balance and how it would improve his health and his golf game.

14 years as a playing professional and still currently playing, taught by and trained by some of the best in world in both in the golf swing and golf fitness.  I teach from a playing point of view. Which means you will not need to spend hours on the range training to work on some method in order to play a good round of golf.
Getting started was simple enough.  I took two videos of my golf swing with my iPhone (down-the-line and face-on) and uploaded them to the website.  I also took the time to describe my swing faults at great length.  Communication is critical between between a student and teacher, probably more so since there’s no face-to-face component involved.  I received a response from my instructor 24 hours later.

In fact, a tour event is basically a putting contest.  The best putter each week wins the tournament. With the proper techniques, everyone can develop into a solid putter. The following putting drills are designed to improve your ability to hole the ball on the green.
What actually makes choosing a set of golf clubs hard is the fact that there are just so many types and designs of golf clubs and all have different features which you have to consider before making that final decision. I hope the information and recommendations above have helped you make an informed decision. Below I have set out a few more considerations to take into account when choosing your beginner or intermediate level golf clubs.
Online golf instruction can be a murky world. I firmly believe there is no right way to swing a golf club, but there are literally thousands of instructors who all have their version of the golf swing. They have all created videos, articles, and other kinds of resources to teach you their interpretation of the golf swing.
Can you use your primary putting style, or is there a reason to switch to a backup? It’s usually best to stick to your primary style whenever possible to keep as much comfort and consistency in your putting game as possible, but there will come situations where your backup putting style is necessary.

Many people know what golf is, but have little knowledge about playing the game. A large course, expensive clubs, and advanced techniques may be intimidating to first-time golfers. The only way to move past the fear is to engage with other beginners and learn from experienced players. If you want to get on the course, but have no clue how to start, consider taking golf lessons. The following are five benefits of taking golf lessons as a beginner.
The driver is the biggest and longest club in a golf set. The driver has a steep face, usually between 7.5 to 13 degrees, and it is usually only used off a tee. Generally a driver has a long graphite shaft to reduce its weight and increase the club head speed. Head sizes for drivers can vary but the largest is 460cc. As a beginner I recommend you get a driver with a loft between 10 and 11 degrees and a head size between 450 and 460 cc. A graphite shaft is also a must have!

Our bodies are wired to see things as level. Your subconscious likes flat. Unfortunately, this internal gyroscope is causing you to mis-aim your putter at address, spoiling your good reads (when you make them).
After giving millions of golf lessons to thousands of golfers of every ability and seeing them improve, shave strokes and enjoy the game more, we know our comprehensive approach to  golf improvement works.
I teach students of all ages and skill levels using the latest technology with proven results.  Sean began playing at the age of 13. He quickly became a student of the swing; reading every golf magazine he could find and watching numerous golf videos. One in particular stood out–Jack Nicklaus’ “Golf My Way”. That video covered all the basics and was a major influence on his success. After attending Methodist College for Professional Golf Management, Sean joined the PGA of America in 1995 and was elected to membership in 2002. During that time he has competed in many local

This program allows you to keep developing the important fundamentals that you’ve already learned as well as develop new course management skills and golf course etiquette. It’s important to keep developing your motor skills that ultimately will lead you to the “mastery of golf”.
A complete set of golf clubs contains a maximum of 14 clubs, consisting of a driver, fairway woods, irons, hybrid clubs, wedges, sand wedge and a putter. Below I have shared some useful information on what to look for in each type of club.
The easiest way to stop your lower body moving during your putting stroke is to make yourself knock-kneed. This will automatically put your weight onto the inside of the sole of your shoes. Now, if you make a stroke you will see that the lower body, legs and knees stay still. Try putting a toilet roll between your knees and practice your stroke. Positive stroke isn’t it? And no lower movement!
I approach putts like it doesn’t matter. Instead of telling yourself ‘Oh man I have to make this putt’ just be like ‘Hey, it’s just another putt I’m gonna make’ as opposed to feeling like you’ve got to get it in. It’s not easy to care less – like you’re not trying – but sometimes you need to try a little bit less to free yourself up. You have to be loose.
Another thing to consider is the company’s refund policy. The better companies stand behind their products with a full money back guarantee, while others only allow refunds of defective products. Make sure you fully understand the billing and refund policy before making a purchase.
Of the 7,424 words in Alan Shipnuck’s deep dive into President Trump’s ties to golf in this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated, seven words have caused a media frenzy: That White House is a real dump.
This, in my experience, is one of THE best drills for fixing a golf slice. It helps you develop the correct swing path. You may have seen it before but don’t discount it on that basis – work with it at the range in combination with the drills below and you’ll completely cure your slice…
 – In your normal stance, try stroking through the ball, not at it. Bearing in mind that the ball only rolls on about a half inch wide band, watch this until it comes to a stop. Did it stay upright longer? I think so!
While playing golf with friends offers hours of entertainment, the best way to improve your game is to take golf instruction from a professional. A golf instructor can help you work on your swing, as well as provide you with valuable golf tips for tackling awkward holes. When you book private golf lessons, you can choose which aspects of the game you most need to work on, whether that is wood or iron play, tips for teeing off, or clinching the perfect score you reach the green.

Golf (also known as Polish Polka, Polish Poker, Turtle, Hara Kiri, Poison, or Crazy Nines[1]) is a card game where players try to earn the lowest number of points (as in golf, the sport) over the course of nine deals (or “holes” to further use golfing terminology). It is a game for four or more players using a double-deck of 108 cards, and has little in common with its solitaire cousin.

Usually the most natural and the easiest to figure out the basics. Throw the putter with spin which helps stabilize the putter and shape your putting line. Can be less consistent than other styles because it requires movement from multiple joints on your body

Cities everywhere are taking a hard look at the ‘golf’ line in their budgets. We went to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where city officials wondered: preserve the beloved course, or sell it as the site of a local corporation’s new headquarters?
There are several reasons, so let’s take a quick look at the most important ones. First, we live extremely busy in the 21st century. It seems that 24 hours in a day is not enough to do all that we have to do as we try to pack in all of the chores and commitments. We are in a constant rush.
Lead Instructor Micheal Blackwell has been teaching the game for more than four years, working with many students and teaching 200+ lessons. Prior to working at Topgolf, Micheal was a personal trainer for 15 years. GOLFTEC’s Player Performance Center, accessible from any device, is the online portal where you can review your lessons, drills and notes created by your Coach to extend your improvement beyond the Training Center. It helps you to retain the key elements of your swing that you and your coach are working on, for faster improvement.
Some of the world’s best putters play with an open or closed stance – take Jack Nicklaus and Jim Furyk, for example. For me, all you need to align is the putter face, your forearms and shoulders (getting the putter face aligned is the first step). The forearms and shoulders determine the path of the putting stroke, not the lower body. If your shoulders and forearms are pointing to the right of the target line, you’ll push more putts to the right (it’s that simple). There’s no need to worry about the alignment of your feet and lower body (do whatever feels comfortable). When you’re over the ball looking at your spot, start to become conscious of the putter face, forearms and shoulders being square to it.
Here’s a really good drill. Get three or four balls and start at 10 feet. Drop each one two feet apart, putt the first one and gradually work your way back to 50 feet. Learn what it feels like to hit those different putts. Do this as opposed to dropping balls down in one spot and whacking one six feet past and the next one six feet short. If you’re really struggling, start at two feet and end at 20 feet.
Sixty-five percent of golfers under-read the break on a typical putt, according to a Golf Magazine–sponsored study conducted at the Pinehurst Golf Academy. All of these flawed reads add up to lots of lost strokes, even with perfect putting technique. In our study, we assessed the green-reading skill of 72 golfers just like you. Initially, our research team simply sought to determine the ideal position from which to accurately detect slope (behind the hole, behind the ball, etc.), but results showed view position to be meaningless to good green-reading. Our study subjects misread everything, no matter where they stood or crouched. Some 25 years ago, Dave Pelz told everyday players to triple the amount of break they saw, and that’s as true now as it was then.
If you’re 6 feet or taller, use a 34 1/2-inch putter, and if you’re 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 tall, use a 34-inch putter. Golfers who are 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 should use a 33 1/2-inch putter and a 33-inch putter if you’re 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 tall. If you’re 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 4 tall, a 32 1/2-inch putter is the correct size and a 32-inch putter fits a golfer who is 5 feet 1 to 5 feet 2. Guidelines recommend a 31 1/2-inch putter if you’re 4 feet 11 to 5 feet tall, and a 31-inch putter should be used by golfers shorter than 4 feet 11.
Disc golf putting is one of the most important skills to master in disc golf since you putt on literally every hole unless you sink a long shot. Efficient disc golf putting technique can also separate you from the rest of the playing field. But what is the best way to become a great at putting and what are some good disc golf putting tips?
